The global attractions industry is converging on Orlando for IAAPA Expo 2025, a five-day event at the Orange County Convention Center.

The expo serves as a premier gathering for theme park, water park and FEC professionals to explore new possibilities, discover business solutions, and spark innovation.

As attendees fill the bustling show floor, over 1,100 exhibitors are showcasing the latest in attractions, entertainment, and hospitality. The expo has been designed to be a hub of energy and networking, as industry leaders reconnect and experience firsthand the products and services that are shaping the future of fun.

Key Events and Honorees

This year’s expo features several high-profile events. The prestigious LEGENDS: A Hall of Fame Celebratory Affair this year honours five IAAPA industry inductees: Keith James, Gerardo Arteaga Oehninger, Dolly Parton, Gary S. Wachs, and Su Zhigang. The Leadership Breakfast featured a keynote from Mark Woodbury, Chairman and CEO of Universal Destinations & Experiences, who shared insights on creativity and innovation in the themed entertainment industry.

A major highlight is the exclusive IAAPA Celebrates event, offering members a special ticketed experience at the all-new Universal Epic Universe. Attendees will get to explore the groundbreaking attractions, enjoy select food and beverages, and meet characters during this unique Thursday night event. The park, a much-anticipated addition to Universal’s portfolio, is poised to be a major draw for the industry.

The Women in the Industry Lunch also returns, moving to the IAAPA Theater to accommodate a large crowd. The event will celebrate the achievements of women in the industry, with Dr Lauren Hodges speaking on resilience and purposeful leadership. Additionally, the Legends of Epic Panel, moderated by Bob Rogers, will feature four of the creative minds behind Universal’s Epic Universe (Eric Parr, Jody Keller, Steve Blum, and Katy Pacitti), sharing their insights on the biggest new theme park to open this year.

Learning and Behind-the-Scenes Access

IAAPA Expo 2025 offers extensive learning opportunities with more than 170 education sessions led by industry experts. The popular Industry EDUTours are back, giving attendees behind-the-scenes access to world-famous attractions like SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, Fun Spot America, and LEGOLAND Florida Resort. These tours provide a firsthand look at how these destinations continue to elevate guest experiences.

Following a successful debut, Haunting Grounds also returns, providing a dedicated zone for exhibitors specialising in Halloween attractions. This immersive area connects attendees with the products and services needed to elevate seasonal events with a frightful flair.

Looking Ahead

“IAAPA Expo is where the global attractions industry comes together to share ideas, discover trends, and celebrate our shared passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences,” says Rob McNicholas, Executive Vice President and Vice President of IAAPA North America. “This year in Orlando, attendees can expect unmatched opportunities to learn, connect, and be inspired.”

Looking beyond 2025, IAAPA has big plans for its future events. In 2026, the annual conference will expand into the west concourse of the convention centre, to accommodate more innovation and networking. That same year, the first IAAPA Expo Middle East will debut in Abu Dhabi, marking another step in the organisation’s continued global growth.
