Six Flags Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia has officially started its public countdown.

The first Six Flags park to be designed and built outside North America, will open to the public on 30th December 2025. The announcement marks a major milestone for the Middle Eastern giga-project, a key component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 economic diversification plan. The park, a joint venture between Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) and Six Flags Entertainment, is located 45 km from Riyadh and is set to debut with a significant, world-record-breaking ride line-up.

Industry suppliers from across Europe and the US have been tapped to deliver the park’s most anticipated attractions. The 320,000-square-meter park will feature 28 rides and attractions, including 10 high-thrill experiences, spread across six elaborately themed lands.

Record-Breaking Rides and Lands Detailed

The park’s unique proposition is its collection of five record-breaking rides, each anchoring one of the immersive new lands.

The signature attraction, Falcon’s Flight, will be located in the City of Thrills, a futuristic land themed as a bustling, vibrant metropolis. Manufactured by Liechtenstein-based Intamin, Falcon’s Flight is set to become the world’s longest, tallest, and fastest roller coaster, propelling riders over a 4.2 km track, diving off a 160-meter cliff, and reaching speeds of 250 km/h (155 mph).

The City of Thrills will also be home to Sirocco Tower, which is confirmed as the world’s tallest standalone drop tower. Supplied by S&S Worldwide, the ride will send thrill-seekers plummeting from a staggering height. The land’s ride line-up is rounded out by Spitfire, another Intamin creation, which will be a record-breaking triple-launch coaster.

Other themed lands include:

Steam Town: Themed to mechanical marvels and a steampunk aesthetic, this land will feature the Rattler (also referred to as Iron Rattler). This Vekoma-manufactured ride will be the world’s tallest tilt coaster, suspending riders face-down before dropping them into a series of inversions.

Discovery Springs: A lush, oasis-themed land focused on water and nature, offering a contrast to the surrounding desert landscape.

Twilight Gardens: An enchanting, oversized landscape designed to appeal to families and younger guests with whimsical attractions.

Valley of Fortune: Set amidst ancient architectural ruins, this land will immerse guests in an adventure-themed environment.

Grand Exposition: A classic, world’s fair-inspired hub that will also be home to Gyrospin. This attraction, supplied by Zamperla, is set to be the world’s tallest pendulum ride.

With 18 family-focused attractions and 29 food and beverage options complementing its high-thrill collection, Six Flags Qiddiya City is positioned to be a major new anchor destination for the global theme park industry upon its launch next year.
