Organisers behind an awards scheme celebrating the best in British theme parks have announced who will be hosting a glitzy ceremony next month.
The UK Theme Park Awards, returning for its sixth year, will take place at Wicksteed Park in Kettering, UK on 18 September 2025. Showcasing a wide selection of major attractions and beloved smaller parks, nominees this year cover amusement and theme parks operated by Merlin Entertainments, Looping Group and smaller independent and family-run businesses. Previous ceremonies took place at Thorpe Park (2024), Chessington World of Adventures (2023) and Drayton Manor (2022), with a UK Theme Park Awards representative sharing they are “delighted to partner with Wicksteed Park, highlighting the importance of smaller parks in delivering fantastic family experiences”.
The awards ceremony will be produced by live entertainment specialists TAG Live. The firm will also run an official livestream, ensuring fans and enthusiasts across the country can join in the celebrations. The awards are presented in association with booking platform AttractionTickets.com.
TAG Live founder and CEO Andy Mills-Brown says:
“We are incredibly excited to be working on the UK Theme Park Awards 2025. The UK’s theme park industry is full of innovation and creativity, and we can’t wait to bring the magic of this event to life for both the live audience and viewers at home.”
Adding to the excitement, the awards will be hosted by Naomi Wilkinson, TV presenter and children’s entertainment favourite, and Dave Payne, renowned presenter and master of awards ceremonies.
Wilkinson says: “I cannot wait to host the UK Theme Park Awards… I am anticipating the atmosphere amongst award nominees will be as adrenaline-fuelled as their rides!”
Payne adds: “I am thrilled to host the UK Theme Park Awards. From childhood memories of riding The Ultimate at Lightwater Valley to chasing thrills at Alton Towers, Chessington, and countless other incredible parks – nothing beats the excitement of a theme park!”
