During Destination D23, the Official Disney Fan Club gathering currently taking place in Florida, Disneyland Paris has shared more information about its ongoing World of Frozen construction progress.

The new theme park land will anchor Walt Disney Studios once it opens in spring 2026. The opening, featuring structures resembling Arendelle Castle and Elsa’s Ice Palace from the popular Frozen film franchise, will also mark the park’s transition into Disney Adventure World.

Michel Den Dulk, Vice President and Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, shares more:

The park is also set to receive two other new rides, Raiponce Tangled Spin and an UP film-inspired chair swing ride, as well as a large lake for nighttime entertainment, new guest spaces, food and beverage, retail and guest facilities.

Enhanced dark ride experience

An extensive renovation has also been announced for Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, including a serving of technical upgrades and scenic enhancements, all carefully crafted to offer guests a more immersive experience.
When the attraction reopens in 2026, guests will discover an enhanced queue with a new scene depicting a Parisian artist’s studio teeming with details and accessories such as canvases on the walls, paint splatters, and a fruit basket.

Inside the attraction, new props, enhanced projections, and larger-than-life props and set pieces – specially crafted by Walt Disney Imagineering – will add extra flavour to key scenes, and enhance guests’ perception of being shrunk to the size of a rat.
The renovation is being used as an opportunity to modernise the attraction’s technical equipment, including the replacement of all video projectors with state-of-the-art models. Newly enhanced video media will be introduced to the attraction, offering optimal visual quality. With these additions, and following several months of testing and guest surveys, the attraction’s media content will now be permanently projected in 2D, forgoing the 3D version, which required guests to wear special glasses.
“Following recent extensive renovations to Le Pays des Contes de Fées [Storybook Land Canal Boats], Big Thunder Mountain, and currently Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, the enhancements made to Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy reflect Disneyland Paris’ commitment to offering its guests the very best experience every time they visit,” says a resort representative.

Disney has also recently made announcements relating to its US parks, including new experiences arriving soon in Orlando.
