Creative minds behind some of the industry’s most notable attractions have received international recognition for their work in the immersive entertainment sector.

The co-founders of UK-based creative innovation studio CONDUCTR have been named among the country’s most ambitious business leaders in The LDC Top 50 2025, as well as receiving The International Award for their company’s significant global growth.

The awards, backed by leading growth investor LDC (Lloyds Development Capital) and recognised by The Times, celebrate the company’s impact on the global stage. From its headquarters in Manchester, CONDUCTR has become a go-to partner for major global brands. The firm designs and produces large-scale, technology-driven experiences that captivate audiences worldwide.

Engineering a new era of attractions

CONDUCTR is the studio responsible for delivering standout projects such as The Curse at Alton Manor at Alton Towers, a dark ride that has been praised for its theatricality and technical integration. They also developed the world’s first outdoor interactive LED sports court for Norwegian Cruise Line, showcasing their ability to blend physical and digital worlds in unique environments.

This latest recognition highlights the company’s founding ambition to push the boundaries of what’s possible in themed entertainment.

“This recognition reflects the ambition that’s driven us from day one, to invent experiences that audiences love and operators can trust,” said Peter Cliff, CEO & Co-Founder of CONDUCTR. “It is a proud moment for our team and proof of what creativity and engineering can achieve together.”

An end-to-end studio

What sets CONDUCTR apart from specialist firms is its integrated approach to creation. The studio handles every stage of a project’s life cycle internally, a strategy that has been key to its success and rapid growth, working with industry heavyweights including Merlin Entertainments.

Jos van der Steen, COO & Co-Founder, explained the benefits of this model: “Our strength lies in building everything end-to-end, from concept to installation, all within one studio. It allows us to move fast, stay inventive and deliver to the highest standard. This award is a testament to that approach and the people who make it happen.”

The award marks a significant milestone in CONDUCTR’s journey from a UK start-up to a global force in experience design. With a portfolio that now spans theme parks, cruise lines, and competitive socialising venues, the company has secured a reputation for merging technology and creativity to create unforgettable live experiences.
