Responding to the growing demand for interactive experiences, a new collection of midway attractions has been announced, bringing modernised fairground concepts to operators globally.
Manchester-based entertainment technology firm Game Volt has officially launched Carnival Games: The Supercharged Funfair. Developed in collaboration with CONDUCTR technology, the new product line aims to offer venues a modular approach to carnival-inspired entertainment.
Whilst modern midway game concepts have been gaining traction, many independent operators have often found it challenging to access systems that allow them to replicate this style of attraction within their own facilities. Game Volt designed this new collection to specifically bridge that gap in the market.
The system takes traditional physical gameplay and enhances it with responsive game mechanics and intelligent personalisation. Carnival Games features built-in competition tools designed to increase player engagement. The underlying software recognises player achievements and uses live action replay to capture standout moments. Additionally, the system reacts dynamically to how guests play, which creates a more rewarding and interactive experience.

For venue operators, the platform supports the creation of team competitions, tournaments, and group challenges. These features are particularly targeted at the corporate bookings market, encouraging longer dwell times and repeat visits. The setup is offered as a turnkey solution, coming complete with scoring APIs, booking integrations, venue customisation options, and ongoing technical support.
Scalable family fun
The current collection features up to 16 distinct games. This allows operators the flexibility to install a single standalone attraction or to build out a complete midway offering. Game Volt has also confirmed that future games and experiences are already in the planning stages.
Matt Daly, Head of Partnerships at Game Volt, explained the rationale behind the new launch. “We have spent a lot of time looking at what makes modern fairground attractions successful,” he said.
“Rather than reinventing the wheel, we have taken the best bits, evolved them using technology and built something that works for operators as well as players.”
Daly added that the category has already proven itself, with guests loving the experiences and operators seeing the financial value they bring. He noted that the new system gives venues access to this opportunity in a modular format that is flexible and capable of being re-themed.
Designed and manufactured in the North West of England, Carnival Games expands a product portfolio that is already deployed in more than 250 locations worldwide. The first installations of the new attractions are currently in production and are scheduled to launch to the public in 2027. For more information, visit the Game Volt website.
