UK attractions firms head to IAAPA Expo Asia

Experience UK IAAPA Expo Asia

The British visitor experience sector is preparing to showcase its expertise on an international stage this summer as industry professionals gather in Hong Kong.

A carefully selected group of creative, technical, and logistical specialists will represent the United Kingdom at one of the region’s primary trade events, connecting with operators and investors across the Asia-Pacific market.

Trade body Experience UK is returning to IAAPA Expo Asia 2026 to host the UK Pavilion. Running from June 9 to June 12 in Hong Kong, the pavilion serves as a central hub for operators, investors, and developers to meet with British suppliers. Experience UK is once again collaborating with the Department for Business and Trade to coordinate this presence. Delegates and attendees will be able to find the showcase located at Halla 5B-E, stand number 1937.

Ian Clappison Experience UK

Ian Clappison, Chief Executive Officer of Experience UK, highlighted the value of the platform for the global guest experience sector.

“We know how significant all the IAAPA Expos are to the global attractions and guest experience industry, and to be a big part of bringing the UK’s industry-leading companies to that platform is always exciting,” he said. “The group of companies who are joining us in Hong Kong this year is an incredibly strong showcase of what the UK can deliver to that industry; I’m sure they’re going to make the UK Pavilion one not to miss at the show.”

Expanding the experience economy

The delegation spans various disciplines within the visitor economy. Among those exhibiting is 7thSense, a specialist in high-performance media servers and visual systems. Their technology currently powers major international installations including Sphere Las Vegas, Shanghai Planetarium, and Dubai’s Museum of the Future. Creative innovation studio CONDUCTR will also be present, sharing its methods for merging immersive design with emerging technologies to build shared audience moments.

Storytelling and intellectual property will be represented by Aardman Attractions & Live experiences, a brand focused on transforming its existing characters into interactive family spaces. Meanwhile, themed entertainment design studio Katapult will mark its 25th anniversary in business. The team will share insights gained from developing projects for major clients such as LEGO, Ferrari, and Warner Bros.

Infrastructure and logistical solutions form another core part of the UK presence. Environmental Street Furniture brings its bespoke, technology-integrated public realm designs, focusing on smart infrastructure for theme parks. Hamac Trading makes its debut at the Asian expo this year, presenting commercial display environments from its extensive stocked range.

For strategic planning, LDP offers market analysis and forecasting for the leisure and visitor attraction sectors worldwide. Finally, UCARGO Live will detail its operations in managing complex cargo movements for live events and attractions, following recent logistics support provided for the Fukuoka International Flower and Garden Show in Japan.

Beyond the exhibition floor, the trade body is working with the British Consulate-General in Hong Kong to facilitate industry networking. They will co-host a UK Cocktail Reception on the opening evening of the show on June 9. This gathering aims to connect regional buyers, investors, and operators with the visiting British delegation. Professionals wishing to attend the networking event can register their interest directly via the Experience UK website.
