CONDUCTR, the creative innovation studio behind immersive experiences like Alton Towers’ The Curse at Alton Manor, has announced a major expansion with the opening of a new hub in the Middle East.
This move marks the company’s third regional base, adding to its headquarters in the UK and existing operations in the US.
The expansion is a direct response to the rapidly growing demand for high-tech entertainment and attractions in the region. Over the last year, the Manchester-based studio has delivered several large-scale design and installation projects for major operators and brands across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The new hub aims to provide closer, on-the-ground support for its expanding client base in the GCC.
The announcement comes during a successful period for the company. CONDUCTR was recently featured in The Times as part of The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders 2025 and also received The International Award from leading growth investor LDC for its global impact.
Commitment to the region
Peter Cliff, CEO & Co-Founder of CONDUCTR, commented on the strategic importance of the move. “The Middle East is one of the most exciting regions in the world for creative technology right now,” he said. “We’re already collaborating with some of the biggest names in the sector, and this new hub allows us to be closer to the partners we’re working with every day. It reinforces our commitment to the region and our ambition to help shape what comes next for immersive, tech-powered entertainment.”
The region’s evolution from a developing market to a centre of global influence was highlighted by Jos van der Steen, COO & Co-Founder of CONDUCTR.
“The region is maturing quickly, moving from a growth market to one with global influence and confidence,” van der Steen added. “With some spectacular new developments in Abu Dhabi, we’re seeing an extraordinary level of ambition and investment in experiences that blend creativity and technology. Having a Middle East hub allows us to support that momentum and play a meaningful role in what’s happening there.”
Alongside its recent work at Alton Towers, CONDUCTR’s portfolio includes other high-profile projects such as an interactive LED sports court for Norwegian Cruise Line. With studios now operating in the UK, North America, and the Middle East, the company solidifies its position as a key global partner for destinations and operators seeking to develop the next generation of immersive experiences.
