The worlds of professional football and brick-building are set to collide at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort this summer.
As global anticipation builds for the upcoming tournament, the Berkshire attraction is preparing to launch a new temporary fan zone designed to capture the matchday atmosphere for younger audiences and their families.
The “FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience” is scheduled to run from 11 June to 19 July 2026. This limited-time event is part of a global initiative across LEGOLAND Resorts, though the Windsor site is positioning it as a core highlight of its seasonal calendar. The activation is intended to blend the energy of the sport with the creative play typical of the LEGO brand.
Central to the experience is a series of interactive zones where visitors can test their physical skills. The “Build. Dribble. Score!” activity provides a park-wide celebration of the sport, encouraging guests to engage with football-themed challenges at various locations. Among these are specific activities titled Spot Shot and Super Squad, which are designed to be inclusive for various age groups and skill levels.
One of the primary draws for families will be the opportunity to score a goal against a LEGO Minifigure. This activity turns a standard penalty kick into a branded experience, focusing on aim and technique. These installations reflect a growing trend in the attractions industry toward experiential fan zones that offer more than just passive viewing.
Iconic builds and legends
The resort has confirmed that the event will feature life-sized LEGO brick versions of some of the most recognisable names in world football. These builds were created exclusively for the event and include representations of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, and Vini Jr..
In addition to meeting these “brick heroes,” guests can participate in a collaborative build project known as the Heroes of Play Wall. Here, visitors can design their own dream football kits using bricks and add them to a communal display. For many, the highlight will be a photo opportunity with the LEGO FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, providing a tangible way for fans to mark the tournament.
Neil Poulter, Vice President at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. “We’re thrilled to bring the FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience exclusively to LEGOLAND Resorts this summer, inviting our guests to experience the high-score mania of the FIFA World Cup with all the family,” he stated. “It’s the perfect blend of football, creativity and family fun—and we can’t wait to see guests of all ages build, play, share and score together”.
Retail and admission details
The experience also extends to the resort’s retail offerings. Newly released LEGO sets featuring Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will be available at the park’s stores throughout the duration of the event.
Access to the FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience is included with standard admission to the resort. Entry prices start at £32 per person, and children under 0.9 metres in height are permitted free entry. Given the expected popularity of the football season, the resort is encouraging early booking via its website.
