LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has announced a major intellectual property partner for the upcoming summer season.
The park confirmed that LEGO F1 will headline the brand-new Thrill Zone during the upcoming LEGO Festival 2026, running for a limited period from 20 July to 31 August 2026. This collaboration represents the first major intellectual property partner announced for the resort’s seasonal festival line-up this year, introducing motorsport elements to the visitor experience.
Visitors to the Thrill Zone will encounter an environment designed to replicate the atmosphere of a live race day. Among the key attractions is the Brick Stop Challenge, where multi-generational family groups must work together against the clock to complete a tyre change on a larger-than-life LEGO F1 vehicle.

Inspiring young families
In addition to the pit crew simulation, the zone will introduce the Pit Lane Hype Show. This attraction features a live, beat-driven drum and percussion performance executed entirely with mechanical tools and snapping bricks, designed to encourage guest participation and dancing.
For visitors seeking a competitive experience, the zone offers a dedicated space to act as race engineers. Participants can design, construct, and race their own custom LEGO F1 brick vehicles, testing different design variations to optimise performance and speed on the track.
The Thrill Zone will also place a specific focus on the F1 ACADEMY. This junior racing championship also focuses on identifying and developing female talent within motorsport, aiming to increase visibility and connection for girls in the racing sector.

A festival setup
The integration represents a core component of the resort’s interactive strategy for the summer. Neil Poulter, Vice President at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, commented on the announcement:
“LEGO Festival is built for kids and powered by play. It is a limited-time experience where creativity takes the lead, and imaginations run wild. With LEGO® F1® headlining our new Thrill Zone, families can dive into the race day atmosphere at this first-of-its-kind pit stop challenge. It is fast, colourful and packed with feel-good fun for everyone, from start to finish.”
The wider LEGO Festival incorporates five separate interactive zones: Music, Creative, and Chill Out, alongside the newly introduced Thrill and Play Zones. Photo opportunities will be available throughout the resort, including character meet-and-greets with the LEGO pit crew and a dedicated winner’s podium for commemorative photographs.
Global rollout
The event format is part of a coordinated international campaign by parent operator Merlin Entertainments. The LEGO Festival structure is being deployed across six LEGOLAND resorts globally, with identical or similar activations scheduled for LEGOLAND California, LEGOLAND Florida, LEGOLAND New York, LEGOLAND Deutschland, and LEGOLAND Shanghai.
Access to all five interactive festival zones, including the LEGO F1 experiences inside the Thrill Zone, is included within the price of standard daily admission tickets to the resort.
