Vienna-based attraction supplier Attraktion! has secured two new FlyXD flying theatre installations scheduled for completion next year.
The upcoming projects will be located in Austria and Poland, with both attractions targeting operational debuts in summer 2027. The company is positioning the ride format as a space-efficient alternative to traditional large-scale flying theatres, catering to amusement parks, indoor entertainment centres, resorts, museums and destination projects seeking lower initial investment models.
The FlyXD system integrates motion, rotation, media, wind and special effects within a footprint designed for smaller and mid-sized venues. The hardware features scalable seating capacities, flexible screen options, customisable media content and variable theming packages. While traditional flying theatre attractions have relied on projection-based media systems, Attraktion! is introducing an LED-based visual configuration. The manufacturer will showcase the LED-equipped FlyXD unit at IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 in London at booth S2737.

In addition to the upcoming European installations, the FlyXD attraction has been shortlisted in the Innovation Rides, Games, Shows category at the 2026 Park World Excellence Awards. Attraktion! itself has earned a shortlist position for Best Supplier at the awards, alongside nominations for its Circulum 360 Interactive and Querion Hypermedia Entertainment Park concepts.
The supplier’s portfolio includes the Hypersphere 360 at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, which previously secured the IAAPA Impact Award, the Blooloop Innovation Award and a Park World Excellence Award for Best Media-Based Attraction. The firm also owns and operates Immersium: Wien, an immersive family destination and museum in Vienna that serves as a permanent showcase for themed storytelling and media-based visitor experiences.
Commenting on the expansion, Markus Beyr, CEO of Attraktion!, outlined the strategy behind the product format. “These two new projects confirm that FlyXD is opening the flying theater category to a wider range of venues and investment models,” said Markus Beyr.
“Our goal is to deliver the emotional impact of a true flying theater in a format that is more accessible for operators, developers and destination venues. The LED configuration adds another layer of flexibility and shows how FlyXD can be adapted to different project requirements.”
The company will be meeting with operators, developers, investors and media representatives during IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 at ExCeL London to present technical specifications for the 2027 projects and demonstrate the LED screen integration.
