A leading French theme park is expanding its on-site accommodation with the addition of a fourth themed hotel.
Named L’Odyssée Hôtel, the new establishment will open at Parc Astérix in March, offering 300 themed rooms inspired by ancient civilisations. Located in the heart of the forest, the development will add another accommodation option to the French theme park’s existing hotel collection, with restaurants, a bar and facilities for business events.
Designed in the style of a large Eastern caravanserai, L’Odyssée Hôtel will take guests on a journey through the ancient worlds of Persia, Egypt, Mesopotamia and Phoenicia.
The 300-room development will include four exclusive suites and family accommodation, with its interior design incorporating immersive scenery, atmospheric lighting and detailed architectural features.
The hotel’s scenography has been designed by Thierry Retif, Creative Director, with extensive greenery intended to recreate the atmosphere of an oasis throughout the property. The combination of themed architecture and landscaping aims to create an environment that extends the park’s storytelling into the overnight experience.

The new hotel will also introduce two restaurants, Le Restaurant des Marchands (The Merchants’ Restaurant) and Le Restaurant des Sables (The Sands Restaurant), alongside a bar named L’Oasis.
For business visitors, the development will include a modular seminar space measuring 1,326 square metres, providing facilities for professional events and conferences within the themed surroundings.
L’Odyssée Hôtel has also received an ‘Excellent’ rating under the High Environmental Quality (HQE) certification scheme, reflecting its environmental considerations during development.
Parc Astérix has advertised starting prices of €328.30, equivalent to €82.06 per person for a family of two adults and two children on a one-day, one-night basis.
Multi-million Euro investment programme
The new hotel forms part of Parc Astérix’s wider investment programme, with the operator planning to invest €250 million by 2030 to develop the attraction and enhance its visitor offering.
Delphine Pons, Managing Director of Parc Astérix, said: “With L’Odyssée Hôtel, we are taking a major step forward in the hotel development of Parc Astérix. This hotel offers total immersion, unparalleled comfort and a unique experience, transforming every stay into a truly sensory journey. It is part of our overall investment plan of €250 million by 2030, aimed at enhancing the park’s appeal and enriching the experience of our visitors.
“L’Odyssée Hôtel will therefore allow the adventure to continue even after the attractions have closed and represents a bold step towards the future of the park and the experience we want to offer our guests.”
The development will extend the park’s existing approach of combining themed accommodation with access to its attractions, encouraging visitors to make longer stays rather than limiting their trips to a single day.
Job creation
Alongside the hotel development, Parc Astérix has launched a nationwide recruitment campaign to fill nearly 200 positions ahead of the opening.
The vacancies include both permanent and seasonal roles across the hospitality and catering sectors, covering reception, housekeeping and food service, among other departments.

The recruitment drive is intended to establish and train the hotel team ahead of its first guests, with the operator placing an emphasis on maintaining the service standards associated with its existing accommodation.
A dedicated recruitment day will take place on 10 December 2026, giving prospective employees an opportunity to apply for vacancies at the new hotel.
The recruitment programme forms part of the preparations for the opening, with Parc Astérix looking to have its workforce in place ahead of the arrival of visitors in March.
Accommodating guests
L’Odyssée Hôtel will join three existing themed establishments at Parc Astérix, all located within the forests of the Oise Regional Nature Park and within walking distance of the theme park.
The existing collection comprises Les Quais de Lutèce (The Quays of Lutetia), La Cité Suspendue (The Suspended City) and Les Trois Hiboux (The Three Owls), each offering a different setting for visitors staying at the resort.
The four-star Les Quais de Lutèce features 150 rooms within Gaul-inspired buildings arranged around a recreation of the River Seine. Parc Astérix says the hotel won the title of world’s best themed hotel in 2020.

La Cité Suspendue, a three-star establishment, takes inspiration from a forgotten Celtic settlement. Its 150 rooms are arranged within a leafy setting featuring three themed hamlets representing potters, artists and druids.
The three-star Les Trois Hiboux offers a woodland setting, with a large fireplace providing a focal point for its communal spaces.
Guests staying at the existing hotels benefit from priority access to the theme park’s attractions 30 minutes before the official opening time, allowing them to begin their visits ahead of other guests. Parc Astérix also highlights the accommodation’s proximity to the park as part of its wider resort offering.
With the addition of L’Odyssée Hôtel, Parc Astérix will increase its accommodation capacity while introducing a new setting inspired by ancient civilisations.
Reservations for the new hotel opened on 30 October 2026 through the official Parc Astérix website, ahead of its scheduled opening on 26 March 2027.
